Broker's Comments
We know this Cat quite well, having sold her to the current owner who refitted her at B & V Marine Langkawi between August 2012 and February 2013, where the following work was carried out:
1. Interior and exterior repair to port hull, rear of mini keel ( previous repair unsatisfactory)
2. New rigging wires to the main stays, baby stays and diamonds.
3. New navigation lights
4. New bearings to Pro Furl and wind generator.
5. Additional high capacity bilge pumps installed, and float switches with audible alarms installed.
6. Installed battery combiners and master switches.
7. The engine fuel tanks cleaned and both engines re-commissioned with new fuel hoses.
8. Installed second radar (broadband), SSB HF antenna, AIS system, forward looking sonar and. wind instrument.
9. Repair to the port "P" bracket and new cutlass bearings installed.
10. Installed new Vari Prop propellers.
11. Thru-hulls inspected and re-bonded.
She subsequently had new Beta marine 30 Hp diesels fitted. Sail are in fair condition and she would benefit from further upgrading, mostly cosmetic, but the expensive work has already been done. A proven sea boat with high bridge deck, easily handled by a couple, she has already circumnavigated. The owner is keen to sell as he has a farm he must return home to run and a wife who is sea sick.
